Coginov Inc. is committed to providing its visitors with protection of their personal information. In this privacy policy, Coginov Inc, its partners and affiliates, will be referred to as “Coginov”, “we” or “us’.

Acceptance of terms

Use of our website (the “Site”) constitutes acceptance of this privacy statement. Additional consent may be requested for certain services.

Personal Information we collect

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a person. You may be asked to provide your personal information whenever you are in contact with Coginov. Coginov and its affiliates may share this personal information among themselves and use it in accordance with this privacy policy. The personal information we collect may include your name, your job title, the name of your company or organization, your business e-mail address, your business telephone number, your business or home mailing address, information about your job title or business, and credit card information. We may also collect information about your visit, including the name of your Internet service provider and the IP address used to access the Internet, the date and time you access the Site, the pages you access on the Site and the URL of the site from which you arrived at the Site.

Use of personal information

We use and disclose your information as follows:

  • To send you certain information, including marketing communications;
  • To personalize the content and advertising you see on the Site and our applications, on the Internet and elsewhere;
  • To respond to your questions, concerns or customer service requests;
  • To otherwise communicate with you about services or transactions that you have requested or authorized;
  • To carry out certain marketing activities;
  • To conduct research and analysis, including surveys; and
  • To create aggregated or anonymized data, which we may use and disclose without restriction;
  • To comply with applicable laws, to protect rights, safety and property, and to respond to legitimate requests from public authorities (such as disclosing data in appropriate situations for national security or law enforcement purposes); or
  • To perform a requested or authorized service on behalf of a customer who has provided us with data.

We generally retain information for as long as it is relevant to the above purposes. Data may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for an additional period of time.

For one of the above purposes, we may share personal information with one of our affiliates.

Non-personal Information we collect

We also collect data in a form that, by itself, does not allow direct association with a specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer and disclose non-personal information for any purpose.

Here are some examples of the non-personal information we collect and how we may use it:

  • We may collect information such as occupation, language, zip code, area code, unique device identifier, source URL, location and time zone where a Coginov service is used so that we can better understand our customers and improve our products, services, and advertising.
  • We may collect information about customer activity on the Site. This information is aggregated and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to help us understand which parts of our website, products and services are of most interest. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
  • We may collect and store information about the use of our services, including search queries. This information may be used to improve the relevance of the results provided by our services. Except in limited cases to ensure the quality of our services on the Internet, this information will not be associated with your IP address.
  • We may collect and store information about your business, current projects, inquiries or requests for proposals.

If we combine non-personal information with personal information, the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Cookies are used on the Site to ensure the integrity of the registration process and to personalize the Site. A cookie is a small text file placed on your hard drive by a web page server. It cannot be used to run programs or to infect your computer with viruses. Cookies are addressed exclusively to you and can only be read by web servers belonging to the domain that delivered the cookie to you.

One of the main practical functions of cookies is to save you time. For example, if you personalize a web page, or browse a site, the cookie will help the site find your specific information on subsequent visits. This helps to simplify the process of delivering content of interest to you and navigating the site. When you return to the site, the information you previously provided is reused to make it easier for you to use the site features that you customized.

We may also use web beacons, also known as clear gifs, to assist with cookie placement. We use this technology as a tool to compile statistics about the use of the Site. These statistics include the number of visitors who clicked on key elements (e.g., links or graphics) of a Web page, Web log page, or newsletter on the Site.

You may accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully utilize the interactive features of the Site or other sites you visit.

Use of the Site by Third Parties

Embedded plug-ins or other automated third party technologies on the Site, such as cookies or social sharing buttons, allow their operators to learn that you have visited or interacted with the Site and combine this information with other identifiable information they have collected about your visits to other sites or online services. These third parties manage this and other information they collect directly through their content and plug-ins in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Marketing communications

We will respect your wishes not to receive marketing communications. You can change your marketing preferences through your account preferences or by contacting us here. If you gave us your email address to receive marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe links or instructions included at the bottom of our emails. Please note that we will continue to send you service-related communications regardless of any opt-out request. We will not sell or share your information with third parties (other than our subsidiaries or affiliates) for their own promotional or marketing purposes unless you give us consent to do so and where permitted by applicable law.

Choices about use of your information

We believe it is important to give you choices about the use of your information. We will use your information as described in this Policy (or any other service-specific Privacy Policy). If we want to use your information for a purpose not described in this Policy, we will first get your consent to do so.

Do not track

Coginov does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

To provide increased value to you, we provide links to other websites or resources that are not part of the products, programs, or services run by TEC. We do not control these websites or their privacy practices, and any information you provide to these sites is subject to the Privacy Policies of those sites and not this Policy.

Our websites and apps deliver business-related content and are specifically aimed at and designed for use by adults. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from or about individuals under the age of 18 years.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may change this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, our data-handling practices, or the features of our services or website. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted on this website. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will provide a more prominent notice.
