Coginov, a leader in Information Technology (IT) and semantic products, is pleased to announce that it concluded a commercial agreement with the French company LOCALEO in order to provide Coginov’s technology to LOCALEO’s customers throughout the French territory. Localeo is France’s leader in government-citizen relationship management solutions, which help simplify the life of citizens and maximize the functioning of local and regional authorities.
The two companies have signed a commercial and technological partnership during Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard’s visit in France, in the presence of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs.
For the past 10 years, Coginov has been conducting R&D work on semantic analysis tools that, for example, allow a user to ask a question on a community’s website using natural language, and be offered the most appropriate answer. This work led to Coginov’s ASSISTANT™ solution, which will be distributed to France’s public authorities by Localeo.
"Localeo is a young innovative company, France’s leader in the government-citizen relationship management software, said Jean-Charles Bossard, President of Localeo. The partnership with Coginov allows us to benefit from 10 years of R&D work by this dynamic Quebec company, and open our market to them. In the same way, the offer that we are putting together with Coginov for the French communities might be of interest for Quebec communities. »
“This trade agreement is a demonstration of what can be achieved when 2 SMEs join their respective forces, added Marc-André Roy, Associate – Vice-President Sales and marketing. Thus, Coginov is providing Localeo’s customers with the latest semantic technology, all the while offering us a distribution network that is unique in France through the integration of our solutions into their suite, which is already being used by their 200 established customers and 500 000 users. This agreement will generate income and employments for our two companies, and we are delighted that we were able to formalize the arrangement during this trade mission.”
The town of Rosny-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis, population 42,000), the only community in France to receive the prestigious label of "Ville Internet @@@@@" on six occasions, was chosen for the initial deployment of the solution on its Citizen’s Portal. Mr. Romain Da Costa, Director of Communication, said that "this new Administrative Procedure Information and Assistance service will be accessible to citizens 24 hours a day.”
Founded in 2002, Localeo is the young innovative company behind the Government-Citizen Management’ concept (2012 laureate and 2014 finalist in the Trophée de l’Innovation du Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales), enabling a community to simplify the relationship with its citizens and maximize the operation of its services. Distributed by Groupe LA POSTE, this solution is the most comprehensive and the most operational in France. Nearly 200 communities rely on Localeo. For more information, visit www.localeo.com
